Powerful computers built to order.
It's true what they say - The more you pay, the more you get. How good a PC is, depends on what's inside. Most cheap PCs use generic parts, with money saving in mind. I won't do this on principle. I hand pick parts of good brand and quality, and also those proven to work well together, meaning a faster and more robust PC.
Gamers are fairly demanding on a PC. The more power the better. Most try to keep the price realistic though, so tend to spec up a PC that will do the job well enough. Others can't get enough :)
It's important to note though, that a PC built for this purpose will suit most other requirements a well, since it's mid to high end anyway.
This is also a very demanding task. Transcoding video requires a lot of system resources, so it's important to design a PC accordingly. The more demanding your tasks, the faster the PC should be. Again, this will directly relate to cost. Faster components are more expensive.
Probably one of the least expensive PCs to build. Having said that, I still don't skimp on parts though. A PC should always be fast to use and functional. I build in redundancy for home office use, to protect your data.
